Description
PHOTOGRAPHY OVERVIEW
It is not the intention of this lesson to make professional photographers out of investigators. Rather, the purpose is to briefly
cover the basic requirements of good photography so that an investigator can develop enough skill to gather any high-quality
photographic evidence a client may find necessary. An investigator does not need to produce professional photographs. But you do need enough basic knowledge of photography to produce clear and precise records of events important to a client. And you must be able to do that under any weather or lighting conditions and often at distances of more than two or three hundred yards from the actual event.
Therefore, the investigator must learn to use good, basic PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT effectively. You must know what
KINDS OF ACTIVITIES you should photograph as solid evidence foe your client’s use, and you must know HOW TO PRESENT
PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE in court in case your client decides to prosecute. This lesson provides a basic discussion of each of these three important areas.
